our chihuahua pups are fitting in so sweetly with our family!!
they have become quite the companion dogs to all of us...
they love to be a part of all the chaos that ensues in our home...
and one of their favourite spots is here...
they are now just over 5 months and pretty much full grown...i love the fact that they will forever be puppy size, lol...and yes! they still fit in a tea cup...well bella does...jasper is a brute for being a teacup chihuahua!!!
have you ever found a place that embodies what it means to embrace nature??? that would be here...fresh, beautiful, clean water...cutting a path thru beautiful forests...creating natural swimming pools...all the while stunning us with the sheer force of nature with waterfalls. people have been coming to stokum for decades....a place to hang, chill, swim, be seen, and just enjoy the natural beauty that is in this place.
this was my kids favourite spot....the one spot they asked to go back to 500 times!!! i miss it lots!
filled with beauty and wonder. serenity and peace. my island offers me a world of quiet, bold and beautiful meditation.
miracle beach....we spent the morning here....and then came back in the evening for high tide...and a little magic.

cute huh??? my kit has some other fun little goodies....some gasket tags and pressure dial labels! jay is awesome...comes across all manner of cool stuff in his job and being the good boy he is, ALWAYS asks me if i can use first before throwing it out!!! i think he is kind of floored that i can using plumbing things for scrapping, lol!!!
alright....i have been holding on some scrappy goodness...been kind lazy about taking photo's and whatnot. so this is what i have been doing over the last couple of weeks....
using the just cre8 may kit. then i dug into all my past kenner road kits and mixed it all up!!
want the story behind this LO??? of course you do...my husband LOVES to get a reaction out of people. the person he loves to most bug is me...go figure!!! about 5 years ago jay grew a goatee and i loved it. but then i love that rough 5 o'clock shadow thing on guys...yummy!!! BUT! every now and then jay gets it into his head to shave!!! and no it's not a nice clean up of the goatee kind of shave....sometimes he shaves clean...ugh!! sometimes he gets creative and shaves a new kind of moustache, goatee, etc. o yes! i have seen it all....including a porn stash!!! this time i got bad sideburns and the handlebar...he looks like someone named earl...dude!!! and all of this...just to get a reaction out of me...he thinks he's hilarious!!!
alright...i am off to do some laundry and scrap today!!! i might even get my bottom in gear and go for a walk to the park with miss d!!!

i hope this letter finds you and your family well. in a previous correspondence you asked about the snow you saw in a photo. i thought i would clarify...that yes...yes, that was snow. here in alberta we are still fighting the claws that winter still seems to have upon us.
she likes to tease us...play with us. rail on us her cold breath. but we will prevail....i promise you...we will eventually see spring and her pretty face on a permanent base. but sadly, as i write this letter....spring has been taken hostage once again. she was here....briefly, showing us her warmth and kindness. lightening our world and taking away the snow the wicked ice queen had left.
but alas! that wicked and cold queen has wreaked her revenge and made us all pay for spring's early appearance. we are preparing and expecting the battle of all battles to settle this dispute once and for all but fear it may take it's toll...and that us albertans will be the ones to suffer while the 2 season's battle each other.
after a beautiful week or warm and sunny spring...we awoke this morning to see just how far reaching winter and her evil grasp can be...i have enclosed a photo with this letter as proof of our suffering....
that yes indeed, what you saw previously was snow....but nothing compared to what we face today.
we are pleading desperately to see an end to this war....but, *sigh*...the fight continues! please think of us, albertans, kindly in the coming days and weeks and pray for the release of our spring.

isn't it pretty?? it drives so nice...i seriously can't tell i am driving a truck!!!

just something to break the winter tedium...decided i needed to bring spring in...there will be a tutorial posted on the just cre8 blog this weekend...look for it!!!
coloured our easter eggs last night...tonight we gather THE perfect branch and will add some ribbon and beads to hang our eggs off the branch...which will be potted in something cute :)
and.....some OLW goodness!!!! denise picked such a simply profound word...NO...but i decided to use it in a fun way...and went digi, playing with karla's new kit (shhhh...it hasn't been released yet and i was so excited to use it i forgot that i was supposed to wait to post anything!!!) but she gave me the go ahead...so her colour my world will soon be available at after 5 designs. other elements used in this LO are from karla's essentials kit #3 and the carboard background is from camila designs...all from a5d

diving into dina's class...love it. it's releasing the inner artist i had long forgot about. missed her.
journaling is random, all over...but real.
teaching my last multiple intelligence class at the kids' school...it's been so much fun being a part of this. love watching the kids create. i taught a scrapbook class. we are making all about me paper bag albums. so fun.
still dealing with a lot of germs and bugs. strep was rampant thru our house. haillee has been sick non stop since her sinus infection. she was tested for allergies...specificallt pet allergies. looking forward to having a healthy house again.
with sad and heavy hearts we have to say good bye to our pets. haillee is allergic to dogs and cats. we have said good bye to both summer and oakley now. that has been tough for the kids...mostly for my son. still looking for a home for the eli, our cat.
still waiting on kits. hoping, praying, begging that they come today.
been cleaning and purging the house. looking forward to going top to bottom to clean up all the pet hair and dander.
it's -44c here today. definitely ready for the warmer weather.

that i wear glasses and have naturally curly hair??
yup...that's right! i wear glasses...an after effect of having children...so for reading, scrapping, playing on the pc...i wear glasses.
no...i won't consider contacts...i think glasses are kind of fun...kind of an alter ego..
and ew!! the thought of having to stick something in my eye creeps me out, so a very definite no to contacts!!!
and thanks to recent death of my hairdryer...i have had to embrace my curls and waves once again....with some supporting help from my flat iron used as curler, lol!!!

not the season...no matter how much i wish for it...winter seems to be here for a bit longer!! so instead we are welcoming summer...our new pup...okay not so much a pup...she's 3...but she's adorable!!! she's a weimaraner and we stole her from my sister :D ( with her consent of course, lol!!).
oakley and her are fab friends already and the rest of the family...well, we love her!!!
she thinks she's a lap dog...she's not big...but not lap dog size that's for sure, lol!!
