wow!

i feeling pretty overwhelmed and loved right now! i was asked to be the guest designer for skissadilla, a norwegian sketch site, this week too...and my apologies to them for my getting my dates mixed up, resulting in my publishing this post late!!!

so i was asked to create a sketch and a LO for them as well!!! and the skissadilla girls did some pretty cool things with the sketch i designed!! so go check it out...there is also a little prize pkg up for grabs for playing along with my sketch courtesy of me for this week!!! so go check it out!!!

and of course...we can't forget about OLW!!! karla's choice in words this round...OPEN. at first i was totally stumped...really?? open?? what kind of word is that?? but you know?? it's an amazing word for of very positive things...and came up with my own little phrase to use on my layout....

home news...jay got a bonus from work!!!! a BIG bonus!!! and after paying some minor bills....we decided we were deserving and in desperate need of a holiday. we haven't done much more then some day trips in the last couple of years.

sooooooo! we are going to vancouver island for 9 days:) dude! i am so excited!!! i haven't been home in 10 years!!!!so excited to show my kids where i grew up!!! so excited to stick my feet in the ocean again!!! just so excited!!! we are spending some of it in victoria where i grew up and the other half in comox valley where i later moved to and did high school.
so yup! excited!!!

we are off to peace river for the long weekend to check out my parents new property they bought...160 acres!!! gonna spend the time exploring it!!! relaxing and chilling!!! so i gotta get my bottom off the pc and get productive!!!

today we celebrate canada! love canada day...spending the day with the family....participating in the local festivities....doing a bbq....and ending the day with fireworks....definitely all good!!

two years...OLW has been bringing you challenges for TWO years...it's hard to believe!!! we are having a big bash over on the OLW blog!! 8 kits, 8 winners, and lots of doors prizes!! the creative team put together a kit each that reflects themselves....some fab kits!!!!

reclaimed green....it follows my passion for reclaimed goodness!! this is a mini album project kit and the mini album is handmade b me using all sorts of bits and pieces that are usually thrown out....wanna see it closer???
 

cute huh??? my kit has some other fun little goodies....some gasket tags and pressure dial labels! jay is awesome...comes across all manner of cool stuff in his job and being the good boy he is, ALWAYS asks me if i can use first before throwing it out!!! i think he is kind of floored that i can using plumbing things for scrapping, lol!!!

alright....i have been holding on some scrappy goodness...been kind lazy about taking photo's and whatnot. so this is what i have been doing over the last couple of weeks....

using the just cre8 may kit. then i dug into all my past kenner road kits and mixed it all up!!

want the story behind this LO??? of course you do...my husband LOVES to get a reaction out of people. the person he loves to most bug is me...go figure!!! about 5 years ago jay grew a goatee and i loved it. but then i love that rough 5 o'clock shadow thing on guys...yummy!!! BUT! every now and then jay gets it into his head to shave!!! and no it's not a nice clean up of the goatee kind of shave....sometimes he shaves clean...ugh!! sometimes he gets creative and shaves a new kind of moustache, goatee, etc. o yes! i have seen it all....including a porn stash!!! this time i got bad sideburns and the handlebar...he looks like someone named earl...dude!!! and all of this...just to get a reaction out of me...he thinks he's hilarious!!!

alright...i am off to do some laundry and scrap today!!! i might even get my bottom in gear and go for a walk to the park with miss d!!!

just something to break the winter tedium...decided i needed to bring spring in...there will be a tutorial posted on the just cre8 blog this weekend...look for it!!!

coloured our easter eggs last night...tonight we gather THE perfect branch and will add some ribbon and beads to hang our eggs off the branch...which will be potted in something cute :)

and.....some OLW goodness!!!! denise picked such a simply profound word...NO...but i decided to use it in a fun way...and went digi, playing with karla's new kit (shhhh...it hasn't been released yet and i was so excited to use it i forgot that i was supposed to wait to post anything!!!) but she gave me the go ahead...so her colour my world will soon be available at after 5 designs. other elements used in this LO are from karla's essentials kit #3 and the carboard background is from camila designs...all from a5d
